I understand the need to neutralize potential threats: police officers often become a target. But this is too much. What's the motto: "To serve and protect"? They should remember more often about the first part because that's only an empty word sometimes. The fact that the victim is a black guy only contributed to raise suspects (would be nothing new).

Once, in my Country, many years ago, I had a police officer suspended for a week because of abuse during the execution of his service. He approached me while I was walking my dog outside in a park. He started stating that my lash was not regular (since when there are regular lashes, I bought that in a pet shop like anybody else) and other silly things like that. Since he was not wearing a uniform but civilian clothes, I replied to his request to see my documents saying I wanted to see his id card first, to which he didn't thought any better than pushing me on my chest (risking to be devoured by my dog that didn't appreciate that action so much). If he did to me something like those policemen did to that guy I would have sent him to jail!

What I like is the footage shows nothing of what has been said or done in the moments before the cell phone started to record. There could have been other things happening that prompted the owner of the cell phone to say hey something is going to happen so I will see if I can get something good on video and make it look like my friend or others are innocent and make the cops look bad.

I am not saying that is what happened but there has to be more to the story for them to act this way. I can stare at police officers and even clench my fists but if I did not do anything before hand they are not going to say or do anything to me.
