Amazing: Lost World Found

An astonishing mist-shrouded "lost world" of previously unknown and rare animals and plants high in the mountain rainforests of New Guinea has been uncovered by an international team of scientists. Among the new species of birds, frogs, butterflies and palms discovered in the expedition through this pristine environment, untouched by man, was the spectacular Berlepsch's six-wired bird of paradise. The scientists are the first outsiders to see it. They could only reach the remote mountainous area by helicopter, which they described it as akin to finding a "Garden of Eden".

How exciting is this? Its not often that we get to hear of new, unknown species of anything on this planet! An untouched rain forest paradise closed off from the world and retaining hundreds of species of plants and animals never seen before. I was really hoping the article had some pictures of some of the new species discovered. Unfortunately, no pictures have yet been released to the public. I look forward to seeing them soon hopefully. Scientists need to be careful and not ruin their habitat and kill off some of the species. Its not a large area, that is, it would not take long for humans to over run it if we are not careful to preserve one of the last refugees of undiscovered territory.

You would think that with all our satellites in the sky there wouldn't be a place like this to discover. But alas it's true, I think that it's wonderful news.

How amazing, all these new species, and plants that have no history, can you imagine what the guy who found this must have seen? Tree kangaroos, spiny anteaters, and nothing hiding from man. Everything literally walked up and allowed itself to be studied. How fantastic.

Its discoveries like this one that excites the science community and researching the species will probably allow us too get closer to the source of life on earth I hope that they will discover an even more remote place with even less evolved animals.
