The central theme of this anime is not around a person, but power runes. Runes can be either good or bad depending on who is using the power and for what. Those who use it for good, call upon the Lotis, which represents everything good and pure about the soul. Those who chose evil use the Maram, which is the exact antithesis of the Lotis. Only a few can use the Lotis, but anyone who gives their heart to evil can tap into the Maram, even Lotis masters. Interesting anime based on the conflict between good and evil. In my opinion, it is not terribly original, thus lost my interest quickly.
