Ted Cruz will announce his intention to run for president during a speech at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., on Monday, making him the first Republican to announce his candidacy. The 44-year-old freshman senator is an undisputed leader of the Tea Party movement, known for his brash, uncompromising style and conservative beliefs that take aim at both President Obama as well as his fellow Republicans.
