Yeah, it's just been busy. I'll shoot Zork an addendum to my GM note and take a couple of hours to continue the game, then catch up on the other campaigns.
When Theaton is offered his Baronship he will ask for the area where he and Zork found that hill with the exposed gold. He is wanting that and part of the forest that is around it. Not sure how big the Area a baron occupies but that is the area he would want. In his off time he will be working to finish the exploration of the greenbelt with the others so they can finish clearing the land.
So, it would seem you guys have a few incoming peoples to deal with. Seems to be a good time for it given the chapter transition. Thoughts on introductions? I might have suggested we get filtered in as staff additions for the new baronies, but both of us are a little on the outlandish side for that.
Given a few more levels my guy will be a major boon to settlement building. At level 8, Wall of Stone will be among the spells I can hotswap in.

I see that Theaton is requesting certain plots of land so I'm a little confused as to whether each of us will get a starting settlement or if there is going to be one settlement that we as a party start off with and expand out from there? Either way, how much BP are we starting with? Will it be the 50BP recommended in the Ultimate Campaign book?
I am unsure about how to continue from here. I understand the regular quests but is this becoming more like Age of Empires?
Also, if we are seeing about our own settlements how does that affect us working as a unit?
There are a number of ways Icon could handle it. But at a guess, I would expect there to be an increase in social/strategy decisions with a long term impact. Stronghold design, supply lines, trade, etc. With a lot of the fine details handled by stewards (Or in other terms handwaved by the Dungeon Master)
However, that doesn't mean its turning into an Age of Empires game. As a new barony in wild lands, I would expect your rule to be challenged frequently by one means or another. Since you don't exactly have a crack team of elite soldiers to dispatch, the major threats would require the region's best warriors (IE, you) to get off those brand new velvet chairs they've been lounging in and go kick arse in person.
It isn't exactly traditional, but given limited resources, even if you guys do go for separate settlements, it would make sense to me to designate one of the baronies as the primary stronghold, with a notably larger budget for its establishment than the rest. It should be well sited to supply and aid the others while defending the land in general. Feudal lords typically weren't that trusting and generous, but hey, you've shed blood together right?
