Thanks for helping me with this Daishain. I've been looking at CR 1 and 2 creatures. From what I've read I'm thinking maybe an awakened cheetah or leopard. I'm assuming the awakened tigers and lions are out of range at this time. They seem to like combat and would enjoy violence. Seems like a good fit *smile* The hawk would serve as a good scout though even without a telepathic bond I suppose. The cheetah and leopard are both CR2. What's your opinion on this Daishain? Of course this is all hoping that Icon will allow these awakened creatures.

Do you think a Brush Thylacine might serve Jesla well? They're a CR 2, neutral medium animal - and we know for a fact there's at least one in the area. The Kingmaker Player's Guide actually refers to them as "Tasmanian Tigers," if that piques your interest.
I have to share this. I kept reading about the perks in the Ultimate Charisma book and getting upset. For some reason they didn't mention you get one for free at every even level until p. 44. Prior to that, they mentioned them 22 times! One would think if you're going to discuss something that much, you'd probably want to cover how often you get them much earlier
Erm - careful with the centaur stuff. The ones to the East of us are a little vicious. . . Plus Archival kind of has a small history with them. *shudder*
Happy moment - Our rolls were really good for this month! We got a 46 on the Economy check, the max possible. For Stability, Mykael accidentally added 3 instead of the 28 he was supposed to add, so our real results were 48 and 32!
Specifically for ICon: Since a Unicorn can speak common, would "Speak with Dead" work for asking its corpse what happened? If so, we could ask Jhod if he can help.

The awaken spell permanently adds notable abilities to the subject. The typical guideline is to bump the CR of the affected creature up by 1, possibly more if the changes were particularly advantageous.
It is not my call, but based on the guidelines in place, I would rate an awakened leopard, cheetah, or brush thylacine as a CR 3 creature, and a 5th level cohort, meaning Jesla would need to level up before taking those options either.
That is disappointing about the cheetah. I was thinking they would be fantastic running down any lawbreakers she was pursuing. Hopefully she can get one later. I've never heard of awakened animals before. It's like Narnia basically. It appears it is really risky to awaken your animal companion. They might not like the way you treat them or others. With Jesla's average intelligence she could easily have an awakened animal much more intelligent than herself*smile*. An awakened hawk sounds really helpful. They would be a great scout. I like the nosoi as well. I just don't know why one would accompany her. They seem more suited to academics like Kresnik.

ICon, I've seen the Caravan vanity you were talking about and I'm interested. How may Prestige Points do we currently have? I know you gain Fame at the same rate as PP, but I'm curious as to how much we would have already earned (I also understand the Fame spoken about in the PFSFG is different from the kingdom Fame describe in UC).
Question - it looks like Ultimate Intrigue just builds upon the Leadership feat (Still allows it). With Ultimate Charisma being used, will the Leadership feat no longer be allowed?
I have updated the home base layout. You might need to clear your cache in order to see it. I wish I could show you guys my claimed land layout! Sadly, I can't because it uses the official map I had a Dungeon Master buddy of mine that owns the Kingmaker AP hook me up with a blank map where nothing is marked! *grumbles about stupid intellectual property rights getting in the way of fun.* Anywho, I might eventually get around to making my own version of the map so I could upload it. It would take some work off of ICon's back, but with changing jobs I'm not sure how much free time I'll have. It will take a few weeks for me to get into the swing of things and decide if it's an option or not.
To Diarmadhim,
As a trait, I would be considering something similar to Versatile Preformance:
Professional mediator (Social)
You can use your natural friendliness and silver tongue to arbitrate discussions between others.
Use your Diplomacy skill bonus place of your bonus in Profession (Mediator). When substituting in this way, use your total Diplomacy skill bonus, including class skill bonus, in place of Profession’s bonus, whether or not you have ranks in that skill or if it is a class skill.
As a feat, it would be something similar, but with two skills (Mental only?) linked to two professions, or perhaps a skill and profession that can be switched every month. It's a small price to pay considering you save on not having to get Leadership.
Speak with Dead would work, it allows for a target of one dead creature. Jhod is a little iffy on using any kind of necromancy magic, you would have to convince him, but don't forget Daishain's offer of communing with the Ancestor spirit.
Prestige is a Pathfinder Society mechanic that represents influence with one's faction. At level 6 you would be expected to have 24-36. I'm not sure if I should just assume you have that fame because it should be a resource that gets spent - I'm much more comfortable with the trait idea.
Ultimate Charisma is supposed to supersede Leadership and the way I read the Ultimate Intrigue rules, it was mostly clarifications and new feats. If you do want the flavour of those alternate leadereship feats, I'd be happy to work with you on a perk to allow it. I recently took Recruits on my Rise of the Runelords character - Now I have a halfling Indy with a Tian Xia (Oriental) child driving his wagon. Best character ever!
That castle looks awesome! The picture has a moat so I presume you dug one for it and had water brought uphill. If anyone feels inspired, you can go deep into a detailed design of the castle, either text, image or floor plan.
For the political map, I was just going to use blank white hexes, with icons and letters for what is in the hex, and colours for the nation claiming it.
Recently I've been wondering how useful Cealum would be if he wasn't so strictly bound to you. I Imagine he could be an exploration leader if you discovered a long-term Unfetter spell. I don't know why Exploration Edicts specifically avoid Perception. I mention those to KNtoran below.
To Daishain,
I am very happy that you want to take the Magical Entrepreneur perk for flavour! It doesn't have a huge benefit as the Magister - I guess you get a better variety of items to choose from in your settlements. Also, having this perk pretty much confirms that you run the biggest organisation in (A single?) town if you're happy to assume that.
When it comes to Economic Titan, I hope you realise the subtle difference between settlement and kingdom statistics. I realise there's a lot of rules to take in all at once, but you should note that 'Economy' is used as both a statistic in the Settlement rules and in the Kingdom Building rules. There's one line that mentions settlement 'Economy' is changed to 'Productivity' for the sake of Kingdom Building. Thus those qualities you want to add to the settlement actually affect Productivity, which, in turn, gives you a bonus to Craft, Profession, and Perform skill checks to earn income. The other bonuses to skills are all outlined in the Settlement rules, please keep reminding me about them if I miss it.
To Kyrroeth,
The gem change is fine, that's exactly why I gave you the opportunity.
When it comes to choosing an animal cohort, if you want an awakened one, I would suggest adding some backstory as to how that happened. They are intelligent, so they have a deeper understanding of their history and experiences. Awakened animals are a lot like the ones in Narnia, I would also use the Glorantha setting as an example. However, they also share the world with regular animals of their kind, so their personalities should reflect that.
I'll see if I can add one to the game, but in the interim, perhaps go with Daishain's suggestion of a human - or nothing at all for now and keep your options open. I would actually suggest that for all.
I understood your post as asking for pets - which can be bought and usually have the base statistics of the animal. I may offer a template or different feats for a higher price - the merchant will charge more for its uniqueness. An imported animal will also have a higher price.
As pets they are not automatically loyal. A few Handle Animal checks should rear them and teach a few tricks. However, in combat, you have to direct them. Speaking is a free action, but handling an animal (Or coherent group doing the same action - my houserule) takes a move action and pushing it to do something not trained is a full-round action. An animal trained with the Attack trick once will attack humanoids, monstrous humanoids, or other animals that attack it, or you, or you attack. (KNtoran please note:) A second attack trick trains them to attack unnatural creatures, i.e. Everything else. Otherwise I'll control what they do.
To Thomaslee,
Familiar Cohort perk is a fine choice if you want to make Akil more survivable, versatile, and significant. It's also easier for me to keep track of fewer party members. That said, as they are currently, familiars aren't too bad, especially with magic added. I won't fault you if you do pick a cohort, or even stop Akil's progression at a certain level and grab a cohort for the following levels (Following rules for multiple cohorts).
A Grand Diplomat also rolls for Diplomatic Edicts (And I did decide all optional kingdom Building rules were being used). They will come up eventually, but not right away. I thought maybe Exploration edicts were too, bu that's a Marshal Job for Theaton - I explain to KNtoran below. For now just wait for events that pique your interest, and you can roll for them, especially if they involve Loyalty rolls.
I actually have all the deals made summarised on this Role-playing Game's SRD, link above the posts in related topics - next to Dice, Maps, and GM stats. Should be easier than trawling through posts.
To KNtoran.
Please see the note to you above, in the section to Kyrroeth.
Also, as the Marshal you can roll for Exploration Edicts if you want to send adventurers out to explore for you. They are not as effective as you and carry greater risks. Also the Cohorts you will gain as a result of the addition of the Ultimate Charisma rules can acts as an Expedition Leader or even have an expedition composed entirely of cohorts. But I feel that this is also too early to implement, but will come in to play earlier.
Because of that, would you mind handing the responsibility for rolling Upkeep step 1 to Thomaslee?
To everyone,
On that point about the SRD, I wanted to try and go through the old posts to summarise all the laws you created and want to retain. Unfortunately it looks like I have less and less time. If one of you could offer to do it and post the laws here, I'd appreciate it. In your own time, of course. No harm done if I get multiple sets of laws - then we can clarify what to keep and discard.
I have no problem on allowing Thomaslee to do the Upkeep. It will free Theaton of some of his stuff. HE will not seek or think of seeking any cohorts at this time unless you count the Fey. HE looks at them as his helpers as they are part of nature and he will do what he can for nature.
