Shivas knowing she needs to hurry, she takes her chances in slowly approaching with her hands up in a show of peace she calmly says, "Hello there, I have come in search of my friend Gallian. It is of the utmost importance." Coming to a stop at a comfortable distance she continues, "I am Shivas Shanti, would you know him and would you lead me to him or send for him?" Praying to Sarenrae silently that she is on the right track and has finally found a friend not foe.

Prologue Pathfinder Path Adventure Kingmaker ICon

Tarak grips his axe as looks at the boar rummaging through his pack. He attempts to silently stand up and move towards the boar.

Out of Character:: This is my first instance of combat. I have done a lot of reading on it, so I hope I am doing right.

Initiative: 1d20=8+1=9
If I have initiative: silently stand up= 1d20=8-2=6
Silently move towards boar=1d20=11-2=9

If boar has initiative and attacks me, can I make an attack of opportunity? I am not sure if the boar's attack is considered unarmed. If I can then: attack=1d20=9+3=12
Damage= 1d10=10+2=12

Aliora closed her eyes and exhaled a long sigh, only re-opening her normal two and cautiously began to explain her innocence.
"My name is Aliora, I am from the lands of the west, more than 350 miles from here. The monastery of the veil is what I called home until recently when I was sent out on a mission to explore the world. So here I stand, parchment in hand stating that you need an able body to explore the greenbelt. But I must warn you, I have never had a job before. I am taking this only because for the first time in my life I need coin to survive and I can't help but feel I would be doing this city a favour by lightening you of your problems and fears."
Pointing to her third eye which she now opened she continued to speak "And please do not mind this, it is a birthmark and it tends to intimidate most people of this town, but I honour it with pride."

Game Master says...

Canabusis

The person sits there for a second, then you hear a gravelly voice from behind you. A leather and leaf cladded man suddenly stands there saying, "Yes, we know Gallian. Follow." You see no reason not to trust his words. He gestures in a Northerly direction and you hear the rustling of many leaves but see not the movement that caused it.

You are lead for two hours through the woodland terrain when, in a small clearing the man leading you says, "Wait here." You notice the faint smell of fire as he and his group begin to walk away.

Five minute later Gallian emerges, shouting, "Shivas! How are you?" He approaches, and clasps your arms in his hands "Sorry about the secrecy, but we can't let anyone know about our camps - for their own safety. I wonder what has brought you back so soon?"

Trake

Out of Character: I will only be rolling in the open for this combat to show you how it works.
Initiative: d20 = 2
Perception check: d20 +6 = 15 +6 -5 = 16 (Yeah, a 6 was never going to cut it tongue.gif )
Move action (Provokes, luckily it is Entangled and takes a -4 dexterity penalty, reducing its AC)
Tarak hits its AC (14 -2)
Attack: d20 +2 =13 +2 = 15 (Note you are out of your armor since you were asleep. It takes a minute, 10 rounds, to don) This counts as a Natural Attack and doesn't provoke (I thought it did too when I first started).
Damage: 1d6 +2 = 4 +2 = 6

In Character: The boar ceases moving as it hears Tarak get up, but it is slow to react. It begins wriggling its way out of the pack just as Tarak strides over, and he sees the opportunity to strike. Your blade digs into flesh, but the beast emerges, wounded. The boar looks like a juvenile, and yet its tiny eyes flash in horror, then anger. Its small, cheese-covered tusks dig into your left leg as it gores you (6 damage).

Euphoria

"Ah, another explorer," The left guard replies. "You'll be wanting to see the surveyor." He turns to a doorway in the entrance tunnel "Jensen, take this one to see the surveyor."

A plump guard emerges and begins to lead you into the courtyard, which is filled with flowering bushes and a small tree in the center. Straining to hear behind you, you catch a hushed conversation (I rolled you a Perception 10 +6 =16).

"Why did you let - that - in, sergeant?"
"Tomms, when you get to my experience you learn not to question things you don't understand, otherwise it's dangerous for you."
"Alright... But a half-orc?"

Enter KNtoran onto the same scene

As he exits, Theaton sees from across the courtyard a plump guard leading a half-orc girl with dreadlocks of black hair in a ponytail, wearing a monk robe and backpack. They head towards the same entrance to building at which you stand. But this half-orc is strange, deformed, with a third eye on her forehead and all three look at you with their soft red color. You also note a conversation at the portcullis where the young guard is leaning over to the sergeant, whispering something.

Aliora sees a groomed half-elf with fair hair and blue eyes wearing a chain shirt emerge from the entrance they head towards. Apart from his sheathed longsword and longbow strung over his chest, he holds only a piece of parchment.

Then the sergeant at the entrance explodes at the other guard, shouting "You said WHAT?! You have a problem with half-orcs?! They any worse at exploring you think?! Get out of my sight! You are dismissed for today! No dinner! Think over what you've said as you lie hungry in your bunk!"

Out of Character: You can both react to the situation if you want or continue on.

Tarak feels the pain of the boar's sharp tusks digging into his leg. He kicks the boar off of him with his other leg and takes another powerful swing with his greataxe.

Out of Character:: attack-1d20=16+3=19
Damage- 1d10=8+3=11

On my previous damage roll I didn't account for the +1 damage from me Axe to Grind trait, but I did here, hence the +3.

If the boar is still alive and tries to run I would like to make an attack of opportunity.
Attack-1d20=18+3=21
Damage-1d10=8+3=11

Shivas pulls Gallian closer into an embrace, "I'm so glad to see you my friend. I have come under important circumstances, I think I may have found a valuable ally, one who needs your help as much as we may need him. I have spoken with Oleg and Svetlana at Oleg's trading post where all the charter holders are to report. It seems that they have been forced into complacency with the Sword Lords of Restov, of which I know you are at odds with. I had come up with the idea of using their charter against them to build a resistance and at the same time rid ourselves of the dangers that surround the Green Belt, give us somewhere we may build defences. I have come to see what we may all be able to do if we work together, I have hopes that you would return with me and speak with Oleg yourself. I must make haste, I have no time to squander for the bandits will attack them on the 8th.... Will you please come with me to speak with him about our secret endeavors?"

In Shivas's excitement she did not pause or slow down in her pleading with Gallian, after she had dumped the burden of what her journeys goal was she took a deep breath and smiled at him. "I'm sorry my friend I have ridden hard to get here as quickly as I could, and I will have to ride equally as hard to make it back in time to help fight off the bandits attack. I need your help and wisdom my friend." Shivas looked pleadingly into his eyes and sighed.

Theaton will look at the girl and nod his head towards her, and say "Well met fellow adventurer" As he continues heading toward the exit. As he gets to where the Sergeant is he will look at the guards and shake his head as he passes through. He continues heading towards Peters horses.
