Trake and Canabusis
Tarak seems to take some of Shivas' attention to teach, but his untrained assistance just barely makes up for it. His positive attitude gives her the drive to continue working and by sundown it looks to Shivas that the quality work, mostly her's, is two days worth the average laborer's. The guest building's roof is now completely refurbished as are half the walls.
All evidence of injury on Tarak disappears as Shivas passes a hand over his wounds.
Svetlana has prepared a large cauldron of more stew of various roots for lunch and dinner both. Sitting down with all at the end of the day, she turns to Shivas and asks over dinner, "What word from northwards?"
Euphoria
"Paid for?" The innkeeper asks. "Your own room then, I'll have it prepared." He sends the young boy up with a bucket of hot water. Aliora goes to the other table.
"Oh!" The woman reacts in genuine surprise. "I thought I'd crossed another cheat. Gods bless your kind soul, I should probably mention Abadar since I'm at his house for now. Something like... Abadar guide your feet as you explore new lands for the good of civilization. Ha! Close, wasn't it?"
The bath is relaxing and refreshing on the chilly morning, especially after the ache of sleeping on hard floor. Aliora loses herself in the restful feeling feeling... She finishes, to find it is already 11 in the morning that day.

Asking around taverns, the general consensus is people heard that someone of that description was around the central city yesterday. Three and a half hours of walking, questioning and occasionally drinking, yield no results. The taverns are numerous but the rumor has spread quickly with many people hearing it from a friend or just eavesdropping. Depending on who he asks, comments range from her being a curious, strange specimen to a filthy, unsightly, cursed beast. It seems that the pessimists are usually the ugly ones themselves. Most of the information leads him to the offices of the city officials, but Theaton already knew this.
Exasperated, he tries the very place he was told to avoid, the Rusty Anchor. The missing panes in the front window and scorch marks on the front door make for a very bad first impression. Inside hangs a cloud of smoke smelling of tobacco and opium. It is midday and the few patrons seem to be groggy and recovering from the night before. During Theaton's questioning another two come down the stairs, still bedraggled as though they just got up, and they head straight for the bar.
Approaching one, Theaton offers a drink to help recover and strikes up conversation. "I'm Stas, but if yer' going to talk, keep it down a little." He clutches his head as Theaton explains. "I don't remember all of last night, but I remember the three eyes. Strongly built female, green tinge to her skin. It was at the Dart and Drake. She even beat the inn's champion at darts before drinking far too much for her own good. If you run there she may be still recovering."
After his search, Theaton finds he only spent a single silver piece on offerings of drink, it seems to be cheaper in the morning, and the Wedded Trout seems to overcharge as well.
Tarak does his best to help Shivas work on the guest building, and he feels like they got quite a bit accomplished. At the end of the day, Tarak eats the stew that Svetlana had prepared and compliments it once again.
"Svetlana, this stew is wonderful. Oleg, you are a lucky man to have found such a talented woman."
As they eat, Tarak brought up the bandit problem and possible solutions.
"Like I was saying before, if they come in small numbers like before, we could trap them inside the fort and ambush them. Maybe Svetlana could lure them off their horses with some of this delicious stew! However, if they come in force like the first time, then I think our best bet will be to lock them out and fight them off from the inside. Another option would be risky, but probably have the greatest effect. Svetlana stated that the bandits come just after sunrise, and their camp is about a day away. This means that they either ride all night to get here or camp very nearby. So, we could ambush them in the night on the road, or if we are lucky, catch them sleeping. This is very risky however, for if we miss them or if they get by us then the fort will be easy pickens. I am also worried about the man in the robe you spoke of, he could be a mage." Tarak looks around the table at the others, "What do ya'll think would be the best course of action?"
Shivas listens quietly and speculatively to Tarak's proposed idea on how to handle the bandits. When asked by Svetlana what news did she have she gave a great sigh and looked at Tarak with concern for a moment then began to proceed. "Tarak, firstly I would like know your opinion on the Sword Lords of Restov? I can not comment further without knowing."
Tarak tells her in about the same words that he told Svetlana and Oleg in her absence how he cares nothing for them and has only become a charter holder to take up arms to protect his family and their land.
In hearing this Shivas becomes even more trusting of the kind man and opens up to him. "I have no love for those who do not take into consideration the people in their endeavors. I went in search of a friend of mine for his assistance in helping us possibly overthrow the Sword Lords for their insidious plans to use the people for their own benefit. I have to say that I was unable to get their support at this time but have been given a means to contact their leader in the future. I need you to swear your loyalties to the people and us in this as it is considered treasonous and if discovered could put all our lives in jeopardy. I want to use their charter against them in this, we can raise our own army in secret while outwardly obeying their rule."
Shivas looks to Svetlana and finishes, "I did not have the time to speak with the necessary person to push forward our plans at this time. I was afraid I would not make it back in time to thwart the bandits that plague you." Shivas looks with concern and worry at Oleg and Svetlana. "It seems for the moment we are on our own, this could change in the future when given time to speak with my friend and his leader further."
"As for the bandits, I pray to Sarenrae that we will gain a few more charter holders before they come. I don't think it wise to open the gates to them. But if what you say is true and they do not come in full force we could do so. Hopefully when others come to see what fate has befallen their comrades they will only send a few then as well, and we could continue the cycle until none are left. I do not think that ambushing their camp is wise, as it is their territory and we are few. We stand a better chance of defending ourselves within the fort then without." Shivas looks to Tarak seriously and awaits his reply.

"I wouldn't suggest ambushing their camp either,
I was just throwing it out as a possibility. Perhaps me, Sessativa, and any other charter holders that show up could hide, and Oleg and Svetlana could let the bandits in as usuall. After their inside, we close the gates and attack, hopefully catching them offgaurd. We can not devise a final plan, however, until we see who all shows up tomorrow."
Shivas nods her head in agreement, "We should hide by the gates, so that when they enter we can attack them by surprise from behind. If there are too many we may have to keep the gates closed and attack from the walls. Do you have any skill with a bow?"
We should prepare some defensive strategies, Do we have any oil?"
Shivas directs her question to Svetlana. "We should find some rocks as well for throwing at their heads, or dumping on top of them." Shivas looks to Tarak having almost forgotten his oath to keep their secret safe. "I do not mean to pressure you but I would like you to take an oath to defend our secret plans."
After hearing Tarak's oath she begins her preparations of finding rocks and stacking them along the top of the walls, putting some in every direction but putting most of them next to the gates.
Retrieving her armor from Oleg's safe keeping she makes to prepare all she can while she still has the strength to do so before having to rest for the night.
Aliora takes her time relaxing in the bath. Once finished she hand washed her robes with a scrub board and some soap in the same water she bathed in, not very sanitary but at least it took the stench out.
Hanging her wet clothes above the tub she relaxed in her bed until they were mostly dry, and then proceeded to dress herself and do her hair.
Aliora walked down the stairs and happily greeted the inn keeper "Hello again sir, thanks for the bath and by the way do you know where I could find a decent meal around here? I haven't eaten in a long while now, especially after last night I could use something heavy on the stomach."
Tarak replies to Shivas, "I do have some skills with a bow, in fact I have a short bow and some arrows. Oil is a good idea, if we have some clay pots we could make some fire bombs, if not we could always just pour it ob them and throw a torch. Shivas, I promise I will keep your plans a secret, you have my word."
Tarak helps Shivas gather large stones and move them to the top of the wall.
