Did you all hear about the four young men in El Salvador who were brutally murdered? The police gave no motive so far, but apparently some of them had a problem with gangs before because they refused to join and also the gangs didn't like the idea of them proselyting.
QUOTE Four LDS youth were killed Saturday night in El Salvador on their way home from a church activity. The crime occurred in the municipality of Ahuachapán, located 62 miles west of San Salvador.
The victims were identified by police and family as Rafael Alberto Chinchilla (18) and Juan Antonio GarcÃa Chachagua (16), brothers, and Nelson Leonel (18) and Alejandro Antonio Juárez Hernández (16), also brothers.
The two older boys were both preparing to leave on their missions; one would leave for Brazil in September, while the other would leave in November. They were very excited to go, said their parents.
According to family and police, their bodies were found Sunday morning. Juan Antonio was still alive at the time but died en route to the hospital.
According to friends of the boys who had been at the activity that night, they said that there were not enough cars at the end of the evening for everyone to fit, so the four young men had decided to walk home. Source 1
