Urinal art vandalized
A 76-year-old performance artist was arrested after attacking Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" a porcelain urinal with a hammer, police said. Duchamp's 1917 piece was slightly chipped in the attack at the Pompidou Center in Paris and removed from the exhibit for repair.

This is ridiculous. The fact that this guy did this in the name of art makes it more than laughable. I think people will find anyway possible to be in the news.
What I find hilarious is the fact that they're bothering to repair it. "Fountain" Is a statement protesting the pretense of the art establishment, that treats art pieces as sacred objects to be preserved. The Dadaists believed all art should be destroyed. The fact that a Dadaist sculpture should be cherished and protected is ironic.
