SPAIN FIRES TOP SOLDIER FOR CONTROVERSIAL REMARKS
Spain has fired the head of its land army who sparked a controversy earlier this month when he suggested the use of military force in one of the country's provinces.

I don't see the suggestion of the use of your military in a civilian province as a good thing at all. When in a democratic country, a government cannot be caught allowing those kind of comments to be entertained. Firing him was necessary to maintain the appearance that the government does not agree with that type of thinking. Besides, a soldier should know better than to make comments like that in view of the public.
