If you could be an expert in any two languages of your choosing which would they be and why?
Very good question, Latina! I assume this is in addition to my primary language which is English. The first language I would like to be an expert in is Spanish, because I can see it being very useful, especially here in the US. I also enjoy Spanish music, and it would be nice to know what they are saying in the songs. The second language I would like to be an expert in is Italian. I am fascinated by their culture and the way they express themselves. My wife is always commenting on my engrossment with Italian based films. The language sounds quite artistic, and I would love to be able to speak it fluently.
I already know two languages - Hebrew and English. But probably, the two languages I'd like to master other than Hebrew and English will be Arabic, because I might come back to Israel when and if the situation there gets better, arabic will be useful because the two are neighbor countries, and many arabs live in Israel as well. Also, Spanish - if I will stay in the U.S, that would be helpful, because of the dominance of Spanish in North and South america.
My mother tongue is Spanish so I believe I'm pretty good on it . I would like to master my English and then I would like to become an expert in Italian, French and Hebrew. Italian is very similar to Spanish and my roots come from there, French because seem like a very hard language to learn and Hebrew because of I'm interested in scripture's translation and things like that, also because I DREAM in going to Israel someday, that will be my dream come true.
English is my native language, and I'd like to learn Spanish because of the predominantly Hispanic population here in the Southwestern USA. It would be helpful in my work, and just being part of a much more diverse culture here. After that, I would like to learn French (part of my ancestry) and Russian just because I think it would be cool.
