Development Educational General GED

I have not personally taken this test but I can say I was able to benefit from helping my father study for his GED back in 1998. He went through an adult learning program to prepare for his GED. They gave him a huge list of books that he could purchase with study materiels and practice questions. Books-A-Million and Barnes and Noble both have this same list of books with many of them in stock. I apologize that I do not have the list to post here but I would imagine that nearly any larger bookstore should be able to guide you to where you need to go.

From my understanding the GED is basically a tenth grade level exit exam. The biggest tip I could give anyone taking this test after watching my father prepare for it would be to relax and not let it stress you out. There is a lot of information included that the test could cover but for nearly anyone most of the question base should be presented in a way that common sense will prevail.

Educators Worry Revamped GED Will Be Too Pricey


The test long used to demonstrate high school equivalency is getting an overhaul. Many educators agree it's time for an update, but the new GED will be much more expensive and administered only on computers. Some are worried the new exam will be out of reach for many test takers.
