After hearing Truman G. Madsen's lecture on his life, George Albert Smith is one of my favorite latter-day prophets. I especially love the accounts of his unusually strong love for people generally - past, present, and future. When visiting a part of the Mormon Trail, he got down on his stomach and put his bearded chin into the wheel-rut, and with tears flowing freely, he said, "This is where they came."
