Port Of Spain General Hospital Shooting
I was leaving work when I heard the commotion about a shooting that took place at the Port of Spain General Hospital, my legs suddenly became weak and I was in a state of shock. It could have been you or me or anyone else for that matter. How is it possible that we are seeing this sort of crimes happening before our eyes at 2:00pm in the afternoon! What kind of madness is this?

She is mother of two, Alexis Bhagan, 28, of Barataria.
Police have so far been unable to interview her due to her condition.
Bhagan was one of three victims who were shot when a gunman walked on to the hospital's compound looking for a particular person.
Police said that shortly after noon yesterday, the intended target of Nelson Street, Port of Spain and Chavez Toppin, 20, also of Nelson Street brought one of their friends to the hospital for follow-up treatment after a shooting several weeks ago. Source 2

The crime situation is just so out of control at the moment and you do not hear the Government addressing the issue as they should, almost like they expect the problem to go away on its own. My heart goes out to the victims specially the poor nurse that was used as a human shield by a sick coward.
