Myself I see the series as a refreshing change to all the crude and stupid humor currently being shown as 'normal' Humor where you are to laugh at character's stupidity, laugh at racist/stereotypical/sexual jokes.
Sure it is a children's show, but one with well made characters that go beyond the stereotypes commonly shown in kid shows. It has impressive flash animation and the plots and messages are all in all well thought out.
Originally directed by Lauren Faust, who was a part of such shows as Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends she went out of her way to show MLP does not have top be just for little girls. With voice acting by the likes of Tara Strong and even John De Lancie as the villian Discord I personally have enjoyed it very much.
Admittingly since Lauren Faust has left it could be said the show has gone down hill a bit but all in all even to this day and the controversial episode the Magical Mystery Cure the show has managed to stay strong… At least I think so.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Hover)
I was a big fan of Little Pony when I was growing up and I also enjoyed the series of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, this is something I'll have to search about, thanks for that review.
Season 06, Episode 07 -“Newbie Dash”
Rainbow Dash finally achieves her dream of becoming a Wonderbolt, but makes a disastrous first impression with the team and gets saddled with a mortifying nickname she is determined to change.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Hover)
I used to watch this show religiously! But since I got so busy, and we don't have the channel it shows on, I haven't seen the last bit of it. Still, cute show.
