America's detention system for immigrants has mushroomed in the last decade, a costly building boom that was supposed to sweep up criminals and ensure that undocumented immigrants were quickly shown the door. Instead, an Associated Press computer analysis of every person being held on a recent Sunday night shows that most did not have a criminal record and many were not about to leave the country - voluntarily or via deportation. Federal officials have announced an ambitious plan to revamp the nation's immigrant detention system, a patchwork of public and private facilities that has been widely criticized in recent years, including in two lawsuits that alleged poor conditions in a San Diego detention center. Ref. Source 7
I think that something needs to be down with all the illegal immigrants that are in the USA. I believe that if they want to be here so bad then use the legal means to get here. IF they do not want to do that then shoot and kill them. We do not need them causing problems in the US.

US immigration authorities say an 8-year-old boy from Guatemala has died in government custody
The boy, who died early Tuesday, is the second migrant child to die in detention this month. Customs and Border Protection said the child showed “signs of potential illness” Monday and was taken with his father to a hospital in Alamogordo, N,M. Source 5f.
No one, specially a child, should die in any of our detention centers illegal or not. Children at the age of 7 or 8 do not cross that desert on their own and aren't accountable for their actions.
