Battleship!

A one vs one game where players line their ships on a hex board and then call out numbers and letters to see if they hit the opponent's ship. Not much brain power need, it is totally based on luck, but certainly must be fun since it has lasted through the ages.

I used to love to play this game with my little brother. It was about the only game that we were equal in. He being 8 years younger than me, I got real tired of Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Go Fish, etc.!

I had this game as a kid. My friends and I would play this even in high school. Then I passed the fun onto my son. Eventually, we got talking battleship because of the cool sounds.

I love this game! I have a couple of sets, it is very dynamic and entertaining. It is great for small children. A great family game.

When you play do you just call out random spaces or do you use a methodical approach to seeking out and destroying the ships?

Random spaces, I just use my woman's intuition I love the game and I think I'm pretty good at it.

I choose a more methodical approach. I leave a certain number of spaces between each guess. This helps to eliminate certain spots and also helps me know in what ship I have hit when I get a hit.

I spent hours on end playing this game it is a true classic and should be around for many years to come. I would suggest that you don't put any ships at the side they get found quickly.
