Choosing a spot that is off the beaten tracks far enough to be hidden but close enough to be able to hear any on the path.
Usable wood for the night is collected and stored in the wagon for the night. Traps are placed around the camp to trip any that come to close and some to knock a man off a horse. Also around the camp are set wolf snares.
Further west of the camp Kalfie sets animal snares for game. While doing so he will look for viable water sources and note their location for future use.
Once completed dry rations will be ate and the group will ready for the night. Dummies to be set around camp and will be laid to appear as sleeping near dusk. Every one will take cover and watch for any who approach.
All will stay awake till 11:00 pm when Klar Cirdan and Krusten will rest. Kalfie and Beowolf will take watch in nearby trees and the rest wall sleep in wagon.
The traps are checked and reset water skins topped up. If any fresh meat found it will be prepared for cooking and food will be had.
While the meat is cooking Klar and Kalfie will check what they can see to the east 20 minutes ride out and 20 minutes back. klafie farther north then Klar heading towards the mountains. If not meat fond the same will occur but Beowolf and Krusten will pack up the wagon in the wait time.
Once back based on the scout a direction will be determined for the day. The general idea in the scouting is to explore the mountains to the east and find a likely spot for a crossing or climb up into it.

The group rides towards the mountain and follows it north looking for passages up it or possible hides outs. Kalfie and Klar will lead scouting out front Beowolf and Krusten in the wagon. Beowolf willing be keeping a sharp look out while Krusten drives.
Plumes from any wagons on the main path will be noted and investigated by Klar and Kalfie.
If clean water is found water bags will be filled and horses watered.
As late after noon nears a likely camp site will be sought.
