Any who are asked by the villagers reply that they are heading out to deliver good for the monastery in another village.
The group looks about to find a defend able rock outcrop in the area that would be defend able from both wolf and man. It would be such that a person can be protected and allow bow or sword to be used. If no such out crop can be found they will head to the nearest tree stand that would offer adequate protection for a camp.
Once the site is found camp will be set and prepared for a night attack. Dummies will be set around the camp fire using stuffed cloaks.
Two rest while three watch second shift two watch. First watch stats 12:00 ends 03:00 Klar and Beowolf will take it. Second watch Klafie and Krusten and cirdan will be on watch.
Watchers will be in trees if in that area and rest in the wagon sleeping. If in an outcrop all will watch and rest from the out crop.
Wagon will be unhitched from the horsed and the horses secured in an area they can be seen and protected from wolves or theft.
We turn about and head back north to the last trees that we have passed to set up camp there. Camp will be set up as to give us a unobstructed view to the south.

The group looks and find the best spot in these meager surrounding for a camp. Once found what wood that can be found is piled into the wagon at the front and back to keep a balance in weight and camp readied.
Stones will be piled to help reduce the view of the fire from onlookers. The horse tended to and secured so as to keep a watch on them and prevent them from bolting in a fight.
Two will keep watch from the tree for incoming activity and the rest will sleep in the wagon. Shifts tart at 11:00 pm and switch in 3 hours.
A fire will be made and dummies set around the fire in a fashion to appear to be sleeping there. Klar and Beowolf first shift, the rest on second.
Dry rations are taken by all and Klar and Krusten take to cover in the Wagon.
Southerly direction lies kalfie and north westerly Beowolf and to the north Easterly Cirdan. They clean out shallow hollows 20 inch deep with the dirt dug placed to add protection in the direction facing away from the wagon. *the wagon is the center of the three*
All have the melee weapons at ready access and the projectile weapons as well (slings for 3 and Klar and Kalfie with arrow and Bow). Kalfie will leave his axe in the wagon and use his two handed sword.
Klar and Beowolf will take the eastern and western trench Krusten in the wagon looking south from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am, while the other three sleep they will be replaces with Kalfie and Cirdan at that time. All who rest are in wagon weapons at the ready.

The group rises and looks about and gathers enough wood for a couple days. traveling to nearest trees as required.
Once done they take some food. They turn their heads south and decide that the Deaths Mouth might not be were they desire to start but perhaps more north and east. So from where they sit they take note of all major land marks they head east and ride toward the foot hills.
Kalfie and Klar ride scout Klar to the south and Kalfie to the North of the wagon and ahead but within sight of each other and the wagon. They will look for tracks of those who may have traveled this way. Signs of game will be of interest as well since fresh meat is always nice, if any spotted in range an attempt will be made to shoot it with bow. While traveling the party will be looking for bandit hideaways and good camp sights with the hopes of finding one by noon or early afternoon at latest. If a camp site is found it will be reported immediately as well as thieves dens. Once with in a few miles of the hills Kalfie and klar will ride even further ahead to see what they can find and return to the wagon once it s with in 2 miles of the foot hills. They will look back often to ensure them nor the wagon is being approached by any others.
Once they return to the wagon and they will discuss their next move as well as any likely places that can be spotted from where they are that might be a defensible camp or could be a bandit hole.
Kalfie and Klar ride in closer to the mountains not getting any nearer to the Deaths mouth. They are looking for a defensible position for a fake camp and a spot that they can ambush any riders from the death's mouth.
Once in good sight of the foot of the mountain the will head north till one is found within a mile or so.
Any likely spots to find fresh water are also noted. Once a suitable place is found a fake camp will be set up and after that Klar and kalfie wail go fetch water.
Rather off topic, but... Are you going to place Cirdan in robot mode he just follows the group? As I have not seen ZedHead for ages. |

Seeing that no place appears to be defend able here so they head back to the wagon track and follow them towards east city and look for a good camp site nearer the track and within the tree line.
Kalfie will try to determine how old the track are that the seen.
Kalfie and klar will ride ahead and scout to ensure they meet no unexpected company. An eye will be kept for any possible path which one may find passage through the mountain.
They will also be looking for clean drinking water for horses and to refill the water bags.
