Camp Patrol - Page 21

Alright no battles but at least we made it through the night with our legs and arms still attached. We have an early start! Let's use that to our advantage and at the first sign of daylight head straight back to the south. As usual I'll be in the wagon.

Patrol Camp

On mw way out to school so I'll be fast. Lets just head south and start getting dugged in and then we'll take it from there.

Camp Patrol RPG PBP Medieval World

I agree is is south we go looking for some nice hidy holes.

The group rises and looks about and gathers enough wood for a couple days. traveling to nearest trees as required.

Once done they take some food. They turn their heads south and decide that the Deaths Mouth might not be were they desire to start but perhaps more north and east. So from where they lie taking not of all major land marks they head east and ride toward the foot hills.

Kalfie and klar ride scout Klar to the south and Kalfie to the North of the wagon and ahead but within sight of each other and the wagon. They will look for tracks of those who may have traveled this way. Signs of game will be of interest as well since fresh meat is always nice, if any spotted in range an attempt will be made to shoot it with bow. While traveling the party will be looking for bandit hideaways and good camp sights with the hopes of finding one by noon or early afternoon at latest. If a camp site is found it will be reported immediately as well as thieves dens.

Once they are within a Mile or so of the hills they will return to the wagon and discuss their next move as well as any likely places that can be spotted from where they are that might be a defensible camp or could be a bandit hole.

I think the post is ok but I would add in there that we are actively looking for a place that could be defendable as we near the southern mountains. If we spot game we can shoot it with arrows if close enough. I doubt we will go tonight without encountering anything. We need to stop in our search by mid day so we can fortify the best option we come up with.

We can all head south but I think one fast rider should go way ahead of us and scope the area in detail before we arrive that way there isn't any surprises.

Ok there is definatly activity going on between east city and deaths pass. I wonder if this is where they are getting thier supplies from. I say lets dig in here and prepare for a fun nights activities. being just 30 minutes from them gives us plenty of time to see movement coming our way. If we fortify our postion here and set up some traps outside for wolves we are sure to have some sort of advantage.

Horse and wagon travel at what 4 to 10 mPh we are very close here if any are watching yet. We might be wise to seek that cover fast and head back a bit. There is nothing here but flat land. The mountain are like the Bad Lands so we seek no closer then we are now and look for a very defensible position.

Once camp set we need to think of how we are going to get them here is a group of less then 20. Any path up that hill side is sure to be watched.

After a quick discussion on what they have found it is decided they are going to find a good site along the used path. They hope with in a short distance of where they are.

The wagon will head toward the mountains but never getting closer to the Deaths Mouth.

Klar and Kalfie head out looking for a better place for camp this night as well as likely place for fresh water. If they are close at any going to fresh water they will refill canteens from flowing water. They head and ride close to inspect the mountain base checking often for signs of stress from the wagon or pursuit. They will not be moving any closer than they are now towards where the smoke rises. Once near the mountain the will follow it in its north east direction.

A passage to the top or suitable out cropping is what they seek. If they are getting too close to the trees then they return to the wagon. If they have already seen this in great detail in the first passage then we will head more north east then we did before.

I am stumped on this so feel free to add details here. I can use the heavy horse and go in and nose around once it has rested well then get them to chase me to here. Also note we are down one warrior possibly.(cirdan activity level dropped)

We should just stay where we are and let a fast rider check out the place we will be going to by the smoke. Then he can return and let us know if it's safe since its not too far away.
