Camp Patrol - Page 37

Ok we can do so in time but first how close are we getting to this nice cliff after all if we get right into the mouth those nice fellas will be sure to chase our slow moving tails. Klar and I will make it back out but that wagon no way.

We ca inspect close I am pretty sure are we are not actually entering the mouth he just need to know so he knows what to tell us. We will find one passage here but it will take a mountaineer to climb it.

So I need to mod that posting.

Post

We will travel close to the mountain so as to see details from horse back so within a few hundred feet. Stopping to investigate anything of interest the wagon will remain farther out around the 1/4 to 1/2 mile.

klar is going to look for likely spots to set sand traps for those who would ride from the deaths Mouth, likely spots will be dug in if seems safe to do so.

We will be looking for possible cave entrances as well as used or possible paths up the mountain to places of better defense or as a look out.

post

Let me know what else we might need to add.

Sorry krusten only me or klar can post unless the story separates us.

Yeah that sounds good we should also prod around in case there is some special secret passage, Too bad we don't have a thief in the group to look for us.

That post sounds good to me. I am just looking for possible spots to make a few traps. I am not setting any traps yet. I am thinking of ways to slow or kill our nice friendly bandits when they come down after us. smile.gif

Hmmm what do you guys make of that maybe we need to get closer or there is something we are not looking at or doing properly. We better head back to the village or East City and get some info.

Well maybe we need to get in closer as we did not even note the pass I had seen before. Given that what distance is good? ride horse back 10 feet out? I think somehow the gm did imply we were too far out to note what we need to. Interesting part is he did not ask this on the range on the east side.

I can not help but think we missed a important detail. I also do not think we are going to catch a wagon train either.

Yeah 10 feet but spread out so if something happens only one of us would take the fall for it. wink.gif

I will go closer to the mountains and ride within a arms reach of the rock surface. I will use a stick to scrape along the rocky surface to see if anything happens. The wagon can be farther out in case something happens with Beowulf and Kalfie watching for any signs of trouble.

How does that sound people?
