We already know what lies inside the pass. Arrows. They are in a high spot where they can shoot arrows at any who want to enter. IF you want to go into town to learn this then we will go into town and learn this. I think it is a waste of time since we already know that much. We need to be working on stopping them from getting resupplied and get them to come out into a level playing field so we can hit them with arrows of our own and weaken them.
Krakyn the post sounds good. We need to post that and see what the GM sends to us.

I am still with KNtoran on this. Only two paths found look bad third path in over the mountain you need to be a mountaineer. If we go in and set camp and then eplore that area on the west wall where the thunder of hooves started but no horse appeared we might see what happened ie a special way in.
If not we might bag that supply wagon at least or kill a bunch of bad guys stormng in on us.
If we go back to the village who according to what others have learned, do not know much and they get resupplied we would have wasted a bunch of supplies. On the other hand if we stay and keep a supply wagon from making it to them then we gain supplies and make them come to us. I think that is our best bet. If we dig in and fortify our position daily while waiting for them to come to us our chances of succeeding go up. This will help us in the long run. We need to stick it out.
Seems we are 2 for and 2 against the going to ask questions so KNtoran chose 1to3 or 4 to 6 and I will roll and post that here.
Once done I will create the post for approval if going to town. If we are staying then I will post what we have.
Sorry still swamped here after a week away. So will stop in at lunch and see how all is going.
I fear we have one of two things happened here either we found a tunnel we caved in or we have a horde coming around that corner at any time. I do think we stay and a lone or two rider(s) go back to where that avalanche happened to start exploring more.
edit
We might like to pop into town to pick up a new magic user see the character creation forum.

After resting the horses and watering them the group heads back to k8. As they go they will try and note if any rock formations had moved.
There they replenish the water and check the animal traps. Once the horses are well rested and the wagon fortified with Green limbs from the trees so as to make walls they can leave lying in the bottom of the wagon and pull them up and placed as required at the ends and sides. About 3 feet high. A hot meal will be made from Klars chickens if no animals are trapped that are edible.
They then head back to the (k11 nearing L10) deaths mouth 3/4 miles out from it close to the mountains and out of site of the mouth. There they intend to set camp and fortifications in the form of traps.
The traps will be focused on the southern and western areas and consist of 10 foot pits with stakes in the bottom.
The leading edge of each trapped marked so that the group knows where it is.
Once done they will prepare for the night and dig pits to hide in need the fire. Dummies will be set the best they can nearer to the fire so as to make it look like they sleep there.
They hope a supply wagon will come this way as it will be set so the main wagon passage can be seen and easily monitored. Preferable right near it.
The next day pits to the north will be set also and marked similarly. Once completed Klar and Kalfie will make a water run if required and check the traps.

If this is suitable I shall post then.
