Basic Role-Playing D100
What is your review for the RPG Basic Role-Playing D100?
I've never played this but I'm assuming that they use 100 percentile dice rather than the 20 or 6 sided right? That actually makes lots of sense because then you can really determine the percentage of something. With 20 sided you still have to work it out to 100 sometimes.
Aren't we talking about Chaosium's Basic Roleplaying System (BRP) which uses D100 percentage rolls, like Runequest and Call of Cthulhu? I have a thin pre-release (wasn't worth the money) that looks like you'd expect, uses the CoC system, which you could make up on your own using CoC rules, for fantasy or whatever world. Still, its solid and I like the skill advancement method, but I personally dont like percentil rolls for success.
No not all rolls area percentile roll. You may see the desired result as a percent chance of getting that roll. many games use different rolls for and different dice for anything rom time of day to how much damage has occurred. In a true percentile world you do everything on the d100. Everything is up to chance.
