Barbarian
What do you think about this Character Class in the Dungeon & Dragons or (AD&D) system of role-playing? Consider the following:
1. Fighting ability (attack skills, use of weapons)
2. Unique skills (thievery, bless, talk to animals, etc.)
3. Magical skills (ability to use and acquire magic)
4. Tendency to progress (easy to go up in levels)
5. Limitations (cannot carry or use certain objects)
The barbarian is not a class of warrior but is a sub-class of fighter. It seems like a silly character to me because a barbarian never becomes anything else. They are always just a barbarian, and never have anything else to excel to. They do have extensive fighting ability though.

If someone is a diehard fighter then a barbarian is a good way to go for the few fighting bonuses but the lack of anything else at higher level is not very convincing.
I am still on the fence with this one. While the barbarian is a sub class of fighter they do get some nice bonuses at higher level. Also being a 12d Hp rather than a 10d Hp means they can gain a lot more HP faster. I will have to test the barbarian character more. My only barbarians is level 2 so far.
True but it all depends on your roll. I mean you could roll a d10 and get a 10 or roll a d12 and get a 2 so for me that isn't making that class appealing. Besides any character is powerful a higher level. I'd rather be higher level as a fighter and then go into another class.
Used this nice fella when I rolled an amazing body but not real brain power. It was fun as you get sooo many proficient weapons and toys to play with. It is also a nice character for a younger person just starting out bit more robust to live though mistakes. You can have great fun with the I hate magic routine also. I made an enchanter leave the adventuring group. I hate npc's. A necessary must I know.
