Ranger
What do you think about this Character Class in the Dungeon & Dragons or (AD&D) system of role-playing? Consider the following:
1. Fighting ability (attack skills, use of weapons)
2. Unique skills (thievery, bless, talk to animals, etc.)
3. Magical skills (ability to use and acquire magic)
4. Tendency to progress (easy to go up in levels)
5. Limitations (cannot carry or use certain objects)
The ranger character is created from the mold of Strider from the Lord of the Rings. Like many characters, this character keeps with the main premise of survival like the ranger from fantasy. Rangers have the unique ability to track other people or things depending. Some rangers can track people by their magic as well.

When you think of ranger... of course we thin of lord of the rings, but many people forget that character specialization allows for many different types of rangers. they can be bounty hunters as well, as there tracking ability allows for them to hunt down bandits easily, and for there animal companions to scout ahead without drawing to much attention to themselves. Rangers can be used to great effect as party leaders as well, pointing the party in the path of least resistance when traveling from area to area.
I can't even remember what the beneits of being a ranger are, if someone can post the description from the manual I can comment on it.
This is the second half of my duel classed characters. The bonuses that Rangers get for fighting are great to use especially at higher levels. Having +1 bonus to a start on giant class creatures and having a 2HD to start makes them a much tougher character at the beginning. As they get up in level they gain druid powers. This helps too. I like the tracking ability the best.
