EDITORIAL: STANDING UP FOR THE LITTLE ONES
Michael Lane is a prime example of a problem this newspaper spelled out one year ago. Lane confessed recently to killing the 2-year-old son of his then-girlfriend in 1991 while she was at church.

I just don't understand these types of crime. Killing a two year old child, at church no less, what makes someone do that? It seems like there are more and more crimes happening that fit into the heinous crime category. These types of people are walking arguments for the death penalty.
