What are your thoughts about Patrick Henry, a man esteemed by many as a US Patriot that helped the people understand and retain their rights to the point of forming the USA through battling the British.

Patrick Henry is one of my hero's. The reason for this is that despite our differences on many different issues, we believe in liberty above all. Patrick Henry is famously quoted as saying "Give me liberty or give me death!". He understood that a people cannot be happy or free is their liberty is taken, and that its not just worth fighting for, its worth dying for. I completely agree with that philosophy, and hope that his vision of liberties worth will never die in this country.

We all know Patrick Henry to be the great man of eloquent speech and firm beliefs. He, along with many others, was one of the main founders of America today; why? Because he was the impetus, the momentum, the strength and powerful persuasion in which the Americans needed to aspire such things as defeating the most powerful nation on the Earth at that time. Along with his cajoling speeches there also was Thomas Paine whose works called Common Sense were rather inspiring and earned the pro-war Americans many peoples.
