ESCANABA, Michigan - The Escanaba Family History Center is abuzz with excitement. After two years of waiting, the center is online and ready to provide extended services free to the public. "Now you can discover more than just your ancestors' names, but who they really were in their own eras with possible physical descriptions, photographs, military service, livelihood, house addresses, what ships they came over on, and even what they died of," said Diana Berrigan, who volunteers at the center.

This is really neat. I wish that this type of thing would spread and become more common place. But in general, I wish more states would get online with their programs, that would allow greater access and more people would be tracing their lines.
