I always use chocolate powder, mostly because it is the cheapest form of chocolate mix. Nestle Quik is the brand I use exclusively.

Nestle's was the best when I was growing up. It came in a rectangular tin with a round lid in the center of the top that I thought was fascinating. I've also used chocolate syrup for chocolate milk, but it didn't dissolve as well as the powder, in my opinion.

Only tasted Ovaltine once, and that was enough for me. Bleagh!

I agree with Malexander, Nestle Quick is also my favorite. It dissolves quickly and it's very tasty. They did a strawberry flavor but I do not personally like it, I rather the chocolate one.

Speaking of flavors, Nestle now has a Vanilla flavored powder you can get. I tried it, but wasn't really impressed. The strawberry is good, if you use higher concentrations of the powder. Chocolate is still the flavor of choice.

I like Crusha syrup, it mixes well into the milk. They also do loads of other flavors too.
I go through quite a bit of these syrups, especially as I mainly drink cold drinks, and can't stand the taste of milk on its own.
