North Carolina Governor Will Sign Pro-Life Bill Stopping Abortions
Late Thursday night, the North Carolina state Senate passed a pro-life omnibus bill that would stop abortions by helping pregnant women and stopping taxpayer financed abortions.
The State Senate concurred by a vote of 32-13 with the State House, on SB 353, Health and Safety Law Changes. The State House worked with the Governor and his Department of Health and Human Services to reach an agreement for a compromise bill that accomplished pro-life goals in a way the governor would sign into law. Governor Shuts Down Pro-Abortion Protests With Chocolate Chip Cookies
A gathering of North Carolina pro-abortion activists are upset with North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory. They have been protesting outside the governor's mansion in response to his signing a pro-life bill that could close down shoddy abortion clinics.
McCrory hasn't been willing to meet with the rabid abortion activists, but he did stop by Tuesday afternoon with a plate of chocolate chip cookies. The gesture was so nice that the abortion activists were befuddled, made up a silly chant, and went home early. Ref. Source 8

Judge Strikes North Carolina Law Letting Women See Ultrasound of Baby Before Abortion
A federal judge Friday afternoon struck down a pro-life law in North Carolina allowing women a chance to see an ultrasound of their unborn baby before considering an abortion. The law faced a lawsuit from the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.
The law also requires the abortion practitioner to allow a woman considering an abortion to hear the heartbeat of her baby and to describe what the ultrasound shows. Ref. Source 6
Court: Choose Life Plates Unconstitutional Unless Pro-Abortion Plates Offered
A federal appeals court ruled today that Choose Life license plates are unconstitutional unless a pro-abortion version is also offered to motorists.
The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals heard a challenge brought by the ACLU against the 2011 North Carolina law that would allow the production of a specialty "Choose Life" license plate. Ref. Source 8
