Do you think there is a Best Way to Detox? If so, please share what worked for you or others you have seen.

I believe that depends on the degree of addiction. I think the safest to all parties is detoxing in either a hospital environment or a treatment facility. Some detox can be very painful to endure as it is to watch from the family's point of view.
On the other hand, it might be that the addict detoxes in a clinic setting and then has triggers in his/her own environment that can't be dealt with as they weren't addressed in the center.
