Hmm, so this is somewhat skewed. First, they saying they have renounced violence is not exactly true. Okay, they may have 'renounced' it officially, but they still manage to use unofficially quite effectively. Second, they have no problem using violence on non-Muslim people. They are classified as a terrorist organization for good reason, whether their official stance says no violence or not… because they use violence when it suits them.

Agreed. I think the problem is the non-radical groups are a bit afraid. That's only part of it though. I think some of the non-radical groups do speak out, but they aren't radical so the news ignores them because they aren't screaming and cutting heads off people.
