Hi,
This is going to be my first post here....
Anyway, I just recently finished a finger painting (30x30) this past week. I have slight tremors, and for a long time I struggled to paint correctly with a brush. I'd grip it practically at the bristles, get paint everywhere, and the finished product would come out looking lifeless.
So, I decided to give in. To do things my way instead of attempting to be like the Masters. Granted, my finger painting isn't the most beautiful, either, but it's colorful...it's me!...and I've breathed life into it, er, somehow.
My hands are the most familiar things in the world to me. Why not use them to create works of art? But then again, I've never been one for perfection...And for perfection, you usually don't want to use your hands.
Alice in Wonderland
Thanks so much to Maria van Bruggen for the inspiration.
