I saw the preview for this and it looks like one to go see on the big screen.

Plot Outline: Four kids travel through a wardrobe to the land of Narnia and learn of their destiny to free it with the guidance of a lion messiah.

The trailers for this look so amazing. I hope its on scale with Lord of the Rings, Interview with a Vampire, and any other movie made from a book. As it looks awesome and the book was great. I truly hope the director didn't slaughter the book. Needless to say I can't wait to watch this it promise's to be a good movie.

I heard on the radio this morning the this movie was being promoted to Christians and had a lot of Christian undercurrents throughout.

It was described as Passion of the Christ meets Harry Potter.

Yes, we had the same advertisements here. After watching it four times last night I am not sure maybe I overlooked the Christian undercurrents. Narnia was good id give it three stars. Not a movie I will run out and buy though. Thought it was going to be so much better.

I would take my kids to see it if I had kids they would enjoy it a lot more. That being said it was rather more geared towards a younger audience in my opinion.

You paid to see it in a movie theatre four times but won't buy it? Heh heh...That's funny. You probably paid more to go see it that many times than you would have buying it.

I saw it with my fiance last night, and I loved it. I've never read the books, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. But, my fiance had read it, and he was very thrilled with the movie production, and he's very picky about books being turned into movies.

I thought they had some amazing camera shots. When Lucy first pulls the covering off the wardrobe, it was an awesome camera shot of the cloth falling to the ground. The four kids did an amazing job for being so young, especially the litlte actress that played Lucy.

I laughed through much of the movie, but it definately had it's sad moments.

I was absolutely thrilled when I first heard the movie was coming out. I love reading books, but I only care for certain types of books. CS Lewis is one of my all time favorite authors including the Space Trilogy and Narnia.

As far as the movie being towards Christians. CS Lewis himself was a Christian, but many people do not know that he was very against Christianity for some time. The books do have some Christian undertones, but I was surprised that it was pushed so much by Christian retail stores. Though I am happy when I see movies that have Christian undertones in them, as a Christian, I just wish movies could just be left alone. Too many people have to look at what is Christian and what isn't, but that is for another thread. Back to the movie.

I myself have to give the movie 2 blue stars. For kids, the acting was done very well. The little girl who played Lucy did quite well and fit the character from the book. Even how they portrayed Aslan was wonderful. And seeing James McAvoy as Mr. Tumnus was a pleasant suprise.

Though the movie was more geared towards the younger audience, all of us can still appreciate how well it was made. At times the CG did seem a little overdone, but it was not too distracting. All in all, I was pleased with the movies take on the book and really suggest this movie to everyone, especially if you are in to fantasy movies.

That does make sense. But I didn't pay to see them, I am the manager of a movie theatre. Hence having to watch it four times ( four copies ) to make sure it plays correctly for all those who do pay to see it
