What is the Commission these days for selling and renting of a property? In my country the Agents would get 3-5% of the total selling price or one month's rent for leasing. Some Agents that are greedy charge this to the tenant as well when there is a very high demand.

Near where I live, the commission is normally 5% on a sale of a house, and one months rent on a rental.
Sometimes if the agent has a reputation for being able to sell a property a bit quicker than other agents, they can sometimes charge 6% for the sale, and most people are willing to pay this to guarantee a quick sale.
