CHRONIC HEADACHE RAISES DEPRESSION RISK IN WOMEN
Chronic headaches, particularly migraines and those that are disabling, in conjunction with severe somatic symptoms --physical symptoms of a psychological origin rather than a physical source -- greatly increase the risk of major depressive disorder in women, according to a report in the medical journal Neurology.

Migraines are one of those things that have far reaching problems if left untreated as well as being symptoms of further problems themselves. This article brings some interesting data forward in that when my wife was depressed she started getting migraines as well. It makes me wonder if she had the migraines or the depression first? She got over it, it wasn't permanent or clinical, but they were simultaneous.
