Description: There are more clamors for a Contest for FP so we are going to start it back. This will be an ongoing Contest until there is a winner. After a winner has been secured based on the below rules then this Contest will be closed. Basically, you will be predicting the outcome of real Stock from the Stock Exchange. If you can make the correct prediction then you win.

How It Works: Monday to Friday the International Business Board is populated by the Bot called "Informer" With the closing Stock Exchange results for: AMGN, AXP, CMCSA, CSCO, CTXS, DELL, DISH, EBAY, SLV, FB, FWLT, GLD, GILD, GOOG, HOLX, HSIC, IACI, ISRG, OIL, JNPR, MAT, MCD, USO, WYNN, YHOO stock. It will be your job as a contestant to enter one of these Threads made by Informer for the day prior and write a message about your prediction for the exact number (Including decimal) for the last Last Trade of GOOG stock for the next day. Sounds confusing? Here is an EXAMPLE:

Example:

A. You want to make a prediction about the Stock Exchange for 29th July, 2013 so you have to go to the last (Prior) Thread where Informer gave the Last Trade. In this case that will be: Stock Composite Index: July 26, 2013 Stocks.

B. Upon entering that Thread you will see many Stock names, for the purpose of this Contest you are only interested in: GOOG (Short of Google Stock).

C. You will see that GOOG Stock Last Traded at: $885.35. The next time Stock Trading will take place is 29th July, 2013 when this number will either increase or decrease (It rarely stays the same).

D. You will then need to Reply to this same Thread (Must be before 6pm GMT of the next business Trade day) with the following:

"I predict that GOOG Stock's Last Trade will be: $XXX.XX for the day closing 29th July, 2013"

The words do not have to be exact as they are above but it must include the Stock Name: GOOG, the date you are predicting, and the amount of the Last Trade you predict including the decimal point.

E. The next day you can look at the International Business Board for what Informer Posts about that day's Stock Composite Index for GOOG Stock to see if you guessed correctly. If you have, then return here to notify me with a link to the Thread. If you have not guessed correctly, try again!

Winner: Gets 5,000FP credited to their account.

Rules: The following rules apply to this Thread's contest only:

1. Every Member has the opportunity to participate so long as they have at least made 1 Core Post before participating.

2. If the NY Stock Exchange is closed on a holiday or for some other reason then the results do NOT count since Informer tends to repeat the day before. No, Informer is not yet smart enough to know which days are holidays for the NYSE.

3. Your prediction message MUST be posted in the Thread prior to the date you are predicting. Therefore if you want to predict Friday's Stock Composite Index then you will reply in Thursday's Stock Composite Index.

4. You must include all the key information mentioned in the example D above before 6pm GMT on the next day or your prediction will be ignored. You must have the Stock Name: GOOG, the date you are predicting, and the amount of the Last Trade you predict including the decimal point. As an example just putting $xxx is NOT enough, it must be $XXX.XX to show the 'cents'.

5. DO NOT Post your predictions in this Thread - it will be either deleted or ignored.

6. Exceptions and mistakes will not be considered and you will not win if you did not put the correct information.

NOTE: You may use this Thread to ask Questions, Rant or Show Off your predictions if you wish. Do not use the actual Stock Threads in the International Business Board to do this (Rant, etc) save only for Posting your prediction as indicated.

Suppose two people get the same answer correct do they have to split the winnings or will they each get the 800FP?

Man I am getting closer and closer on winning the competition! Almost every time I make an prediction about the stock, I end up getting around 5 or ten cents more than the results.
