Send Your Name Into Space!

How would you like to journey to space for free? Well, maybe not you, but your name at least. NASA has an outreach program they've done in the past, and are doing again. You can sign up to have your name sent to the Astroid Belt on the Dawn Space Craft. Your name, along with millions of others, will be sent up on microchips.

That is really some neat information. I had not realized that this had been done in the past, but I believe I am going to sing up and have my name travel through space. This is a really interesting idea, my name can be an astronaut. Everyone here should sign up for it and when it returns we can see how many of use that signed up are still an active part of this community.

Hey great idea using our names as time capsules. but I'm still not sure how our names are going to help in space I mean if aliens will find it they won't understand a thing it will just look as senseless scribbles to them.
