It's interesting because at first I thought the question would be easy to answer but it is not. I do not want to put on 20 pounds but I don't want to lose $1,000 either, I cannot answer the question really. I need to give it a little more thought.
I think I would rather lose 1,000$ more than gaining 20 pounds because losing weight is really hard. Interesting that some people will want to choose that decision that I think I would made.

[The] topic says its lose the money or gain the weight and not the other way around. For me I will not lose the money simply because I don't gain weight much if at all and even if I did with my metabolism I'd probably lose it right away.
I would love to gain 20 pounds, and I would even pay 1,000$ to do it. I have an abnormally high metabolism and at 6'0 I struggle to stay at 155 pounds, when I eat only 3 meals a day I will drop between 130-140 in a matter of weeks. This has becoming hard for my schedule to allow me to eat as much as I do to maintain a healthy body mass and I wish there was any other solution. I figure its because I do physical labor all day and then go to the gym after work, and I am aware that carbs are only in your system for 3 hours so eating at regular meal times is hard for me to not lose what I have worked hard to gain.
