A LEGEND READY FOR HIS TIME
John Legend's debut album, "Get Lifted," had been out for only a few months when the soulful newcomer found himself center stage at last year's Grammys.

I first heard John Legend on the Grammys recently. I sounds allot like older R&B, has a very smooth flavor to his music. He is absolutely magic on the keys, which is why I enjoyed his performance so much. He is definitely a through back style of singer song writer.
I like John Legend. I really do. I bought "Get Lifted" because of how much I liked "Used To Love You". I also like his song with Snoop Dogg on the album. My problem with him is that I find his music sounds very similar. It's all very bland for me. And I wish it wasn't, since he's very talented but I find it hard to get into it.

John Legend: "From the war in Iraq to credit-default swaps to the internet bubble to the real estate bubble, too often we got caught up in the hype and fail to see the real truth"¦Too often, we become apathetic. We see the lies, we see the obfuscation, the deception. And we fail to point it out. We're afraid to rain on the parade, afraid to rock the boat, afraid to pursue the truth." Ref. Source 4
