Bright Shiny and New
The wonder of wonders,
The filling of soul,
My heart found its longing,
Its mission fulfilled.
Found all of the love, devotion, and caring,
No more that I roam, to find acceptance so sparing,
The foundation of the world, the God of the Earth,
Strength and dignity and purpose and worth.
Submit in devotion to his loving will,
Beginnings of something, remission of will,
Set aside my own spirit, my soul to afford,
Then all to the savior, eternal reward.
Submissive servant of body and mind,
Think not they self, give in for a time,
For paradise lost, comes fast on the wings,
Of eagles and foot steps and unseen things.
Oh elegant torture of soul splitting truth,
To give up yourself, the fragile youth,
Foot in the chain, bright shiny and new,
For treasure in heaven, for me to pursue.
I like it, where are the other two parts? You are talking about a spiritual conquest here? It reminds me of the poetry by Milton's 'Paradise Lost':
QUOTE (Konquererz) |
For paradise lost, comes fast on the wings, Of eagles and foot steps and unseen things. |
Similiar, the other two parts are in the making. I haven't finished part two yet. I like writing spiritual poetry, but sometimes its painful to write, and to read. Mostly because it cuts to our inner being and exposes what no one can really see.
