Gut Feeling vs. Logical Knowledge
Suppose you have what humans refer to as a 'Gut Feeling' about a certain course of action yet it defies all Logical Knowledge - which do you think should have more weight? Which do you often choose? How do you feel about others who choose one or the other?
Which do you think should have more weight?
This depends on how strong the gut feeling is.
Which do you often choose?
Most of the time, I go with what I "know" is right. The only time I trust my "gut" is when the feeling is very powerful or persistent.
How do you feel about others who choose one or the other?
Depends on their results

Which do you think should have more weight?
Logic should always have more weight. Gut feelings can be both positively and negatively influenced by emotion.
Which do you often choose?
I try my best to always chose logic. But we are only humans and fall prey to our emotions and thus our gut instinct that is influenced by such.
How do you feel about others who choose one or the other?
Each person has their own road to hoe and it is no ones right to judge someone for choosing another path. If someone choses to follow their gut feelings, then by all means, have at it.
My feelings on this is that as a rule, Passion rules reason. For this reason, peoples gut feelings are more often the nagging manifestations of someones beliefs system, personal feelings, or strong emotional attachments to someone or someone. If you let yourself be ruled by passion and gut feelings, you will be letting yourself down. Just my humble opinion though.
Which do you think should have more weight? I'm a logical person by nature, but have learned to trust my gut feelings because they're often right; the gut feeling should have more weight.
Which do you often choose? This might seem to contradict what I said above, but I often choose logic, unless the gut feeling is very strong. I will listen to my gut feeling, but not always.
How do you feel about others who choose one or the other? Those who always choose logic are predictable, not necessarily a bad thing but it shows a certain lack of self confidence not to trust your own instincts. A combination of the two is ideal.
My parents agonized over any major decision going on gut feelings alone. It seemed to take them forever, so I prided myself for years on being able to make a decision ( right or wrong ) and live with it. I was wrong as much as right, so it was a very poor way to do things. Then I married a librarian's daughter. She taught me to start with a gut feeling and research, research, research, until the answer is clear. It works much better than my old system.
I don't have to live with other peoples decisions, so they can make their decisions as they please.
I believe the answers to these questions will vary according to the personality of the individuals responding. I think it depends on how clear the logical reasoning is. If it appears to be somewhat dull, I would go for the gut feeling. That's my personality. People with the same type of personality as mine tend to make decision based on feelings. I would guess that has something to do with the personality. Besides, it's always a question of perception...
