This is a story I have been following very closely as of late because it happened in my home town. It's a story that has caused great uproar in the state of Florida, and has now reached the national news.
On January 6, Martin Lee Anderson died one day after he entered the Bay County Juvenile Boot Camp. Anderson was beat brutally for becoming "uncooperative" during their regular workout. The autopsy report shows that he died from internal bleeding caused by sickle cell, of which he had never been diagnosed of before.
His parents had to begin a law suit in order to get the state to release the video tape of the beating. The video was taken from a survellaince camera, but was released on television for the first time today.
