My partner had a craving for Wham Bars
A chewy candy bar with explosive popping fizzy bits
Not really Bizarre, until the story unfolds.......
I remember these being all the rave when I was 10, nearly 20 years ago.
I had not seen them available until our first check up at the hospital, and the shop sold them.
My partner got the taste for them and was not a problem until we ran out.
I made the 70 mile round trip at 3am in the morning to the hospital shop because she could not sleep until she had consumed a couple of these.
I ended up purchasing all 10 boxes the shop had in stock (each box had 100 bars) Just to make sure this would not happen again.
Well, I can certainly relate to the problem with the candy bars,I had a craving for mars bars in pregnancy. We had an ice cream truck used to come round every night, and the ice cream lady used to get me a couple of boxes in stock for when they ran out!
I didn't even eat mars bars before then, and don't eat many now either. They are far too sweet! I really can't believe I ate so many!
The second craving I had was for frozen garden peas, Not cooked, but still frozen out of the freezer! really weird!
And finally the third craving that I had was for potatoes, I knew I needed potatoes, but just couldn't satisfy the craving, I tried them mashed, boiled, baked, roasted, 4 different varietys of, and finally, when I had eaten Egyptian baby potatoes with butter I was Ok! I have no explanation for these, I just reason that your body knows best what foods you require!
Thanks for the dedication Karniest
Well, all I am craving for are these fruity chewies called "Frunas", they come from Colombia. I live in the Caribbean where is really hot so when I buy them they are usually kind of soft so when I reach home I put them in the fridge until they get really hard. I have to actually "control" myself because once I taste one of them I cannot stop *literally*
