While under heavy sedation have you ever experienced the same 'symptoms' of a real Near Death experience? If so, how does it make you feel about those that claim real Near Death experiences, could they have been seeing the things they saw because of mind altering drugs?

I have had several "near death" type "visions" while under sedation for operations to remove teeth. It was always right before I was fully aware and seemed very real, but obviously I didn't die, or even almost die. As a result, I doubt most, if not all, near death experiences. To top it, the same result of both near death, and alien abduction, can be reproduced in a lab via chemicals or even just magnetic waves to certain parts of the brain. Makes me very sceptical about near death experiences as a whole.

Or could it be that under sedation, you were pushed out of your body? Did you have life reviews? Did you enter a tunnel? Did you see the light? Did you meet God? These are things most people who have Near Death Experiences experience. Can you describe any
of these experiences that were NDE-like? I am very interested in your response. I had a NDE that could not have been any kind of chemical anything because I saw cars stopping and people getting out of their cars while I was dead in a cornfield out of view of the road.

That brings up a good point. I have never read a lot about the literature trying to debunk NDEs. Do those pharmacological experiments include the ability to see things outside of the immediate area? Especially things that are later on shown to be real, that the person involved in could not possibly know about?

I try not to read other's NDE's because I don't want to contaminate my own but from what I have come across, there was one person who had a NDE that saw a tennis shoe on the roof of the hospital, They went up to look for the shoe and it was there. Others have seen doctors they could not have seen as they were unconscious, and another I came across said that they read the number on a lightbulb and when it was checked, sure enough the number on the bulb was the same. I believe there are those that can not be convinced of anything spiritual though because that is why they came to earth...
To learn the lessons that being a skeptic would reveal to them. Their hearts are hardened. I have proof for my own NDE but I don't need it. I know without a doubt that I met God and God spoke to me. It changed me. I was in the military and spent most of my days planning and preparing for war and when I returned, I didn't want to kill anyone.

Pharmacological Explanation

When I had a miscarriage last year, I went through a D&C and they put me to sleep for the operation. Now, after coming to my senses (and it took me a really long time) I realised that I was really "up" the whole time, it is very hard to describe, the doctors swear that I was asleep during the whole time, yet I remember "flying" and knowing I was in the operating room. I could see a couple of doctors (even though my eyes were closed). It is very hard to describe. Of course, this was NOT a near-death experience but the consequence of being heavily sedated.

Having had a NDE, I do not take things like what you say for granted. If you could start writing down what you witnessed as you were sedated. Were you conscious during your experience? Maybe you did die for a few moments? Or maybe some people's souls may leave their bodies when they are under extreme physical or emotional stress? Since my NDE, I have had several encounters with seeing angels. Before a red flag goes up, did you know that more people believe in angels than believe in God but if you say you saw one...there is a natural knee jerk response of believing a person saying such a thing is making it up. wish fufilment, drug induced, or mentally ill. I wold guess that people may see angels and just not recognize them as such.

That's the interesting part. One side of me knew I was asleep but another side knew I was awake, sorry if I sound confusing. As a matter of fact, I remember being "aware" that I was in the operation room the whole time.

I do not think I died for a few moments but I do feel that something else was going on as a result of the anesthesia. I remember being like I was being buried or like I was very down in the ground or like in a tunnel of some sort. I am not sure, all I know is that I felt I was down, very down in the ground. Then I saw myself "flying" or to use a better word for it "elevating" myself. I saw a couple of doctors but I cannot remember anything other than that.
