Years ago, I worked with the elderly, and one lady told me that she was woken up about once a week, by a very vivid dream, it had only just started, but she said it had become repetitive-- same thing every time, same words every time.
In the dream, she said that two little girls with fair hair and ringlets, dressed in Victorian clothes (pre 1900) would appear to her, and they said to her (in her words) 'we've been looking for you for a long time, we've been searching for you'
This went on for several months, then the old lady was very close to death, and it was always routine at the old peoples home that if a resident was dying, they never died alone, but 2 members of staff would sit with them hold their hands, and comfort them in their last minutes, until death.
I was one of these members of staff on duty this particular night, when Gladys was passing away, and just before she died, she told us that the two little girls were waiting for her, with their hands held out, and they were saying to her 'it's time that you came with us now' Gladys looked at us, and just said 'I'm going forward to the little girls', and then breathed her last.
I don't know what I think on this, but I know for sure that Gladys did believe that she went with the girls, and she was convinced that they were waiting for her.
I don't have any conviction in the matter one way or another, but thought I would share what I actually saw.
My Grandmother was telling me about something she experienced that she couldn't explain at the time, but kind of made sense afterwards.
She woke up one night to a feeling that there was someone else in the room with her. She opened her eyes and looked around the room and noticed two figures standing at her bedroom door. One of them had a white cloak on and the other one had plain clothes on. They were facing eachother like they were in conversation, yet they weren't speaking.
My Grandma sat up and said, "Who are you? What are you doing here?" and she noticed that the man in the white cloak passed something to the other man. She said it looked like some medication. The man took the medication and then fell to the floor. My Grandma thought she was really seeing these two men and got out of bed to help the man that had fallen, yet when she looked back up at the door, the two men were gone.
A few nights later, she woke up yet again by sensing something not right. She opened her eyes and saw a "blanket" being pulled up over her head by an unseen person. She said the "blanket" was red in colour.
We all thought it was strange that she saw these two things in one week, but it all fits together now that I think about it. About a month after she saw these things, she gained a fierce headache. She went to the hospital and had scans done and they discovered that she had two aenurysms in her head that had grown to the size of golf balls.
She nearly died....
