Hawaii is one of the most racially diverse places in the world. Everybody is a minority there. In their census of 2000 over 20% of the population claimed to have multi-racial backgrounds.

Hawaii is a very laid back state. The people there seem to enjoy life and don't live such a hectic busy lifestyle. The way of cooking there is pretty neat. They cook pigs in the ground on hot lava rocks. Underneath the rocks and over the pig are banana leaves to keep in the heat and steam. This is the traditional way of cooking pigs in Hawaii. Hula dancing is a traditional way of dancing in Hawaii also. The dance was started as a religious activity, but now there are more people doing the dance just for fun and tradition.

Hawaii the only state in the Union I have visited twice but never made it out of the airport. Next time I go there hopefully it will be longer that a hour and half layover in the middle of the night.
