'JAWS' AUTHOR BENCHLEY DEAD AT AGE 65
Peter Benchley, whose novel "Jaws" terrorized millions of swimmers even as the author himself became an advocate for the conservation of sharks, has died at age 65, his widow said Sunday.

I had always liked the Jaws series. For a lot of the same reasons that he directed them I guess. Sharks have always been fascinating to me and this was was series that really seemed to depict then the best. I do have to admit that I had never thought to look up whom the directed was. I did own the box set at one point on VHS.
