David Hasselhoff

I really liked the show "Knight Rider". But he certainly isn't a great actor by any means. Mediocre at best.

That doesn't mean you can't take guilty pleasure in watching his shows. After all, how many men do you think watched Baywatch to see David? How many women?

Unfortunately I always remember the trivia about David more than the acting ability. It always springs to mind that he doesn't have sweat glands and therefore had to be sprayed with misty water for most of his baywatch scenes. This always makes me laugh everytime I see him, and I completely ignore his acting.
I do find this a bonus, as I feel that his ability as an actor is really only as good as his ability as a singer. In fact I find it truly amazing that he is famous at all...
But so saying, I take my hat off to him, as he is the world famous one, and not me, therefore who should be laughing at who?

I loved Knight Rider, in fact, I wanted to be Michael Knight! I think I've seen every episode, and Michael Knight, the character, was my hero. David Hasselhoff, I have to admit, did a good job in the Knight Rider series, but was horrible in Bay Watch. I've never seen any of his other endeavors, but I do know he is a singing legend in Europe. Germany, I believe, is where his claim to fame is most prominent.

I did not know he was a singer too, does he sing in German or is it that they just take to his voice? Are we talking actual productions or bar join performances?

Did anyone see Sponge Bob the Movie's fun time with David where he was playing the Bay Watch 'boat'? I think they were also making fun of his acting there. *shrug*

Yes, he is a real singer, and sings in German, if I recall correctly. We are talking about large-scale concerts that were sold out for weeks. The Germans just love him. The movie Euro-Trip made fun of this a little, if you ever saw this movie.

Hasselhoff Ordered to Stay Away From Wife

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark A. Juhas signed the order March 6 ordering the former "Baywatch" star to stay at least 100 yards from actress Pamela Bach except for "peaceful contacts related to court ordered visitation" of one their two teenage daughters. Bach, 42, has custody of one daughter while Hasselhoff, 53, has custody of the other.
